Lamé Typeface

Lamé (Luh-may) is a modular typeface built around the cartesian equation of a Lamé curve (superellipse) and designed through an experimental process. The superellipses were graphed based on π, deconstructed, and created into modules that could be recombined to produce multiple possibilities for each character. The curves, proportions, and spacing are the result of adhering strictly to the Lamé curves with minimal deviation.
